The Ottawa Senior Pride Network (OSPN) was formed in 2008 and has two major components: an Agency Group and an LGBT Community Group.

The goal is to encourage/advocate for LGBT-positive spaces and cultural competence within organizations serving seniors such as residential care facilities, service agencies, palliative care services, and homecare agencies.

The LGBT Community Group meets regularly to look at ways to build a strong, proud LGBT seniors community in Ottawa. Currently, the group has three committees: Social Spaces, Seniors Helping Seniors and End of Life Care Choices.
